Today IEO’s allow-list and limited-sale solutions are largely populated with bots, ruining the ecosystem for both projects and legitimate users.

Prior to KaratDAO, a project aiming to conduct a private round/ICO must spend hours writing one or more smart contracts in order to locate and target select audiences. New or smaller projects may not have the financial nor temporal resources to create such contracts, which creates a feedback loop in which established projects are able to outcompete regardless of the quality of their product.

Additionally, the existing rudimentary solutions are not permissionless, which limits smaller projects from participating in and benefiting from the ecosystem to begin with. Karat empowers all blockchain projects and innovative Web3 adventurers by providing a platform to access and sort valuable blockchain data. Projects can build specific Dapps and Web3 tools for one or more groups of users that have overlapping behaviors on the blockchain, and can simultaneously upload a CSV of pre-selected addresses for private sales and claims.

KaratDAO solves this problem with a permissionless protocol that indexes and enables performant and efficient querying of blockchain data. The purpose of the Automated Matching Engine (AME) is to collect on-chain data from the history of each wallet address. The AME will then draw out user profiles based on their preferences and match the proper addresses to campaigns containing overlapping criteria.
